First let us say that it’s never a bad time to commit (or re-commit) to your fitness and or health. However, right now just might be the perfect time for you and here’s why:
1. School starts: School is starting (hard to believe summer is gone already) which means that most families will be getting into a new schedule. A new schedule should also incorporate finding a good time for you to consistently hit the workouts. A plan must be in place otherwise it won’t happen, especially with how busy we all are. Keep in mind, this could be early AM, over lunch, after work or at some other time but it needs to be scheduled in.
2. The weather is changing: The days are getting shorter and it won’t be long until there is a chill in the air (yeah for football season!) With cooler weather, it is a great time to get inside before the nasty cold hits so you can get into a routine before just leaving your house is a challenge by itself. You want to have solidified habits by that point otherwise it is very easy to get derailed.
3. Summer is over: Most people worked hard in the spring to get into their ‘summer shape’ so they could look good on the beach, at that reunion or on vacation. Well, now summer is coming to a close, chances are you might not be in tip-top shape as you enjoyed the well-earned vacation and need to regroup from that. Additionally, it’s always good to head into the holidays with momentum.
3.5. Never a bad time: The fact that you are reading this shows that now is the perfect time to make it happen. If you are already consistent in then perhaps it’s time to up the ante to the next goal.
