As we often see many supplement stores and advertisements claiming they can restore your natural growth hormone levels or even BOOST them to supernatural proportions, we feel it is necessary to extinguish these false claims. Another false fact being touted is muscle growth due to increased GH levels. Below, we will break apart each of these topics so that you may all have a better understanding of what GH really does for you and if it’s possible (legally) to gain a leg up over anyone else.
First off, the human body operates on a system that has a capacity. When your genetic potential is reached on GH levels, you have reached the ceiling and your body will not take it any higher naturally. The ONLY way to reach epic proportions of GH within your body is through injections that surpass the actual output from your brain. Of course, obtaining GH without a prescription from your physician is illegal and quite costly. If someone is preaching to you while browsing supplements, telling you that they have the holy grail of GH increase, just go ahead and walk right out the door.
Secondly, the list of supplements that have actually been proven to increase GH levels is so miniscule, that unless you are versed in the published medical documents, you can easily be lied to and sold hopes and dreams. GABA (gamma-amino-butyric acid) is the only product on our shelves that carries any evidence into a GH increase. All this fuss over “deer antler” spray is a complete hoax. The only reason why it has gained popularity is because some major league ball player blamed all his success on it alone, while he was also using other substances to avoid scrutiny.
Now, the real question here is.. What does GH increase actually do for you? we’ve had customers come in telling me that they heard GH would create solid muscle gains in a short period of time. They also picked that knowledge up from someone hoping to push a product out the door. we’re here to tell you now, that GH does NOT create hypertrophy in contractile muscle tissue. It is not anabolic in nature. Can it help your recovery? Yes. Will it make you bigger? No. This seems to be he biggest misconception about GH.

However, it CAN help the quality of your sleep, skin, well-being, loss of adipose fatty tissue and increase your sex drive. None of those are bad things, but let’s atleast get the facts straight! Hopefully, this has given a little insight into the wild world of supplements promoting epic gains with a “deer antler” based spray. Be weary of sales pitches that sound too good to be true. As customers of Nutri-Sport, we certainly hope you feel informed every single time that you come into the store. We base ALL of my advice/reviews on scientific data and personal experience. We certainly hope you appreciate the truth over hype!
